Ruby Bridges By: Amanda.
PRESENTATION OUTLINEEARLY YEARS. I was born September 8, 1954 - I am still alive. I was born in Tylertown, Mississippi. My mom is Lucille Bridges. My dad is Abon Bridges. I went to an all white school and I was black so no one liked me going there. START OF CAREER. I was a travel agent for fifteen years. I still fight for the unfairness that racism has caused. My kindergarten teacher was Ms. Barbra Henry. ACCOMPLISHMENTS. I married Malcom Hall and had four sons. I pushed through the mob of White people screaming at me both figuratively and literally. Quote:”the mob did not see a child they saw change and they thought that it was being taken away from them.” HARDSHIPS. People threatened to hurt me or even kill me. Some people threw things to hurt me. I had 4 police officers lead me into the school. The police carried guns with them. FINAL DAYS. I am still alive and am 64 years old. Quote:”Each and every one of us is born with a clean heart. Our babies know nothing about hate or racism. But soon they begin to learn and only from us. We keep racism alive. We pass it on to our children. We owe it to our children to help them keep there clean start.” Haiku Deck Pro User
