My Expectations + Responsibility

  • You can't be a jerk, think before acting
  • Leaving the room?
  • Where to sit? Noise level?
  • Supporting yours and others learning
  • 3 redirection rule 1 - you and me, 2 - parents, 3 - indicates a larger issue
  • I will be clear, sometimes loud. (emergencies, high-demand)

Self Care

  • Food - 6 meals?! of WHAT?!
  • Sleep - 8-9 hours -sleep hygiene
  • Evening activities? Not my problem
  • Ask for what you need. That's literally my job. I'm your teacher, not your boss.
  • This will be different, but not that different.

New Tech Policies

  • Cell Phones, Smart Watches & Bluetooth Earbuds/Headphones Not permitted (8am-4pm) on school property.
  • Gaming Electronic gaming not permitted on school property.
  • Laptops/iPads/Tablets Not allowed in hallways during non-instructional hours.

Trips

  • some after school, some during
  • 3 overnight trips (planned and mandatory)
  • independent and student driven trips - you pitch them, I'll happily plan them
  • we'll develop these together and chat as we go
  • At least 4 other day trips
