  • Safe drinking water act (sdwa) Is the federal law that protects public drinking water throughout the nation
  • The clean water act (cwa) Establishes the basic structure for regulating discharges of pollutants into the waters of the United States and regulating quality standards for surface waters
  • Sewage sludge surveys (sss) It is important to characterize and understand what chemicals may be present in sewage sludge and biosolids that are generated by the nation's publicly owned treatment works
