Setting

Where the story and the them takes place.
Setting is where the story takes place, time date ect... I picked this picture because it takes place at a house and it looks like it is 12:00 there. It looks like it is in the summer.

Conflict

The drama, and the problem in the story
Conflict is the problem in the story, every story has a problem. The problem in the story could be people fighting or war. This picture gives the example.

  • Man vs Man (People fighting each other.)
  • Man vs Self (When someone has a problem, with them self.)
  • Man vs Nature (A person fighting a animal, or some thing.)
  • Man vs Society (When someone is against his or her society.)

The beginning of the story.
Exposition is the beginning of the story. The picture, I think is good because it is the start of a cool domino pattern thing.

Rising Action

When the story is starting to get really good.
Rising action is when the story starts to get really good, and you can't stop reading. The picture is of hot air balloons, as you can see. That is fun and they are rising.

Climax

The best part of the story. 
Climax is the best part of the story because, it just keeps getting better and better. The picture is in N.Y. city, and that seems very fun.

Falling Action

When the story starts to calm down.
Falling action is when the story starts to calm down, and go back to normal. This picture is good because the action is falling.

Resolution

The ending of the story.
Resolution means the end of a story. This picture is good for the topic, because it is the end of the walk/bridge.

The idea of the story.
Theme in the hole idea of the story, and how it relates to the characters. I had know idea of what to do for a pick, so I did a flower.

Mood / Tone

The mood and tone of the characters.
Mood / tone is the mood of the characters. The picture of a baby is good, I think because babies always have a mood.

The good details in the story.
Sensory imagery is the good details in the story. The picture relates to that because, eyes and facial expressions.

Taking something from a book or movie, and butting it into your story.
Excerpt means taking something from a book or movie, and butting it into your story. This picture is from the Harry Potter books and movies, Gringotts bank.

A role or character adopted by an author or an actor.
Persona means a role or a character adopted by an author or an actor. This picture is of Emma Watson, she played the role Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter movies.

Allusion

Something that has an effect on someone or some thing.
Allusion gives the reader an effect on some thing, or some one. This picture gives the effect of buildings, or any thing. It is an allusion to people because they think that it was some thing else.

To refer to something.
Denotation means to refer to something. The picture gives an example.
