  • Goal: To ensure the safety and healthiness of the community.
  • Objectives: Through the training all should be able to thoroghlly wash their hand properly.

  • Adopt and support a global culture of PROPER hand-washing with soap. - Raise awareness on the benefits and importance of hand-washing with soap. -Decrease number of employees, students and teachers negatively affected by widespread of germs and infections.

  • Conduct a routine practices assessment.
  • Provide educational tools and material to give infomation on the proper hand-washing procedures.

Develop

  • Develope training material
  • In order to eliminate the widespread of germs, we must educate EVERYONE on the importance of proper hand-washing techniques and procedures.

  • Arrange meetings and briefings to conduct the trainings.

Why is this important?

  • A number of infectious diseases can be spread from one person to another by contaminated hands. Washing your hands properly can help prevent the spread of the germs (like bacteria and viruses) that cause these diseases.

Who is affected?

  • Men, Women, children, adults and animals are all directly effected by proper hand-washing procedures.

CHILDREN

  • Children who learn proper methods and techniques to hand-washing can continue to practice into adulthood. Early intervention helps for effortless effectiveness in the later years.

What are GERMS?

How to:

  • 1.Apply soap and lather well for 20 seconds (or longer if the dirt is ingrained). 2. Rub hands together rapidly across all surfaces of your hands and wrists. 3. Don’t forget the backs of your hands, your wrists, between your fingers and under your fingernails.

  • 4. Rinse well under running water and make sure all traces of soap are removed. 5. Dry your hands using a clean towel or air dry them 6. It is best to use paper towels (or single-use cloth towel).

Reminders

  • ALWAYS wash hands when :
  • • After using the restroom • After coughing, sneezing or using a tissue • Before and during food preparation • Before meals, snacks or refreshment • After eating, drinking • After handling or touching pets or other animals • After any activity that might soil the hands Families will be advised to create a place within the home for hand-washing. This should have a wash basin, a container for water, and soap (or a local substitute). • As often as necessary

  • To wash hands properly: • Wet your hands with clean, running water, turn off the tap. • Apply soap and lather well for 20 seconds (or longer if the dirt is ingrained).

Conclusion

  • In conclusion, hand hygiene is the most effective way of preventing pathogen transmissions. When available, washing hands thoroughly with soap and water would be the optimal method of protecting oneself, coworkers, friends and families.
