  • Both felt they were too controlled
  • Both declared independence
  • Both fighting against a king
  • Grievances included taxes

DIFFERENCES: AMERICAN AND FRENCH

  • Americans- colonists. French- citizens
  • Americans wanted to be independent. French- new gov.
  • Americans- upset over no representation and tax. French- discrepancies between rich and poor
  • French overthrew king. Americans won the war
  • More citizens were active in the French Revolution

SIMILARITIES: AMERICAN AND UKRAINE

  • Fighting against their government
  • Started by ordinary people
  • Governments had corruption
  • Acts of protest
  • Citizens took things into their hands

DIFFERENCES: AMERICAN AND UKRAINE

  • Ukraine demo. Started by citizens
  • Ukraine has more corrupt government
  • Ukraine is voting for what they want to be a part of
  • More destruction in Ukraine cities
