Arches- arches were an invention used throughout the Roman Empire. Famous structures such as the colosseum used arches. Arches were used in buildings because of there stability and support capabilities.
Aqueducts- an aqueduct is a raised channel used to carry water from mountains into cities. Aqueducts influenced pipes.n. Aqueducts crossed deep valleys, because of this the aqueducts needed to be strong. Many of the aqueducts still stand today.
Roman roads- Romans built their roads in layers. The layers made the roads strong. Many Roman roads have not been ruined even after a 100 years of traffic
Law- the Roman laws were created to protect citizens rights, some were to protect patricians others were to protect plebeians. Our laws are similar to Roman laws and our laws were created to protect people's rights.
Romance languages-Latin later developed into many different languages such as Italian, French, Spanish, Portuguese and Romanian. Which are all Romance languages. Latin also developed into other languages such as English.
How Roman achievements had an impact on today Roman roads influenced the roads we use today, they help us get to places faster. Roman aqueducts influenced pipes which transport large quantities of water from place to place. Roman arches have helped inspire the designs of many buildings today like the Eiffel Tower it has a metal arch in its design. Today many people speak Romance languages, Latin also developed into different languages for example English which many people around the world speak. Our laws that we have are similar to the Roman laws, both their laws and our laws protect people's rights.
