In my mind it means don't use profanity just because you feel like you should. It's immature. It can be interpreted as don't curse without a reason because it's a "bad word" but it really should be considered more because people think it's just a word. That one word can ruin a person's day. Don't go throwing God's name around like a rag doll. Think before you speak. Using God's name in vain is a sin. Using curse words because you're mad or even extremely happy is pathetic.
