Technology can be a great tool for students to use as an aid to learning. However, disciplinary action will be taken for students who misuse technology in any of the following ways.

Violating the requirements of appropriate behavior as noted in handbooks and manuals

Using or posting profanity, obscenities, language, or visuals which may be offensive to others

Plagiarizing or presenting any author's work as his/her own without the author's consent

Copying commercial software is a violation of copyright law

The network should not be used in any way for financial gain or for any commercial or illegal activity.

Students should not deliberately attempt to degrade or disrupt the system or network performance. Such attempts will be viewed as criminal activity under applicable state and federal law.

Knowingly spreading computer viruses is a serious offense and disciplinary action will be taken.
