Surrounded by deserts or partially desert
In modern day Egypt, Syria, and Iraq
Where it is makes it a perfect place for trade
Babylonia and Assyria have some of the same land
Where the city is, makes it a perfect place for farming

Assyria rose 2400 BC
The assyrians fell to the Medes and Chaldeans in 612 BC
After several centuries of obscurity and even loss of independence-
