Framework of Program

  • Mentors are Trained/Compensated
  • CCF's serve as Mentor Liason
  • 1st Year Teachers assigned trained mentor
  • New to District assigned Dept. Chair or Lead Teacher as Mentor
  • MVP Portfolio for Entire Year
  • 2 Tracks - NTP or NTD

Mentor Responsibilities

  • Participate in Mentor Training
  • Meet with new teacher
  • Continuously support the new teacher
  • Maintain documentation (Formspace)
  • Conduct informal observations & assessments of new teacher
  • Complete all requirements of ECISD MVT Mentor Program
