MICHAEL

• Defender of Christ in his sacred humanity
• One of the seven archangels
• Usually depicted with a sword(prince)
• The sword is double edged- truth and justice
• Means "who can compare with God?"

ARCHANGEL

• The word angel means "messenger"
• Archangels are special rankings of angels
• The early church declared them saints
