MUHAMMAD'S EARLY LIFE

The year was 610 and the man's name was Muhammad he was meditating alone in a cave near Mecca received a religious vision. This vision laid the foundations for a new religion.

Muhammad was born around 570 in the city of Mecca.His parents died before he was six and so was raised by his uncle and grandfather . His family was very poor and lived in poverty.

He spent part of his childhood living with a Bedouin family. Bedouilives lived as nomadic herders in the Arabian desert. Muhammad's time with these people which had a strong impact on the development of Islam.

During Muhammad twenties, he began to work as a merchant, where he married his employer named Khadijah who came from a wealthy family. Thought the next 20 years he became a trader who was respected. He traveled throughout the Middle East. During that time he began to have religious visions that would greatly impact the creation of Islam

The visions that Muhammad saw, impacted the way he thought about life Leading him to create this new religion known as Islam.
