The first steam engine was invented by Thomas Savery . Based on Denis Papin's Digester or pressure cooker of 1679.
Thomas Savery was an English inventor and engineer, born in Shilstone, at a little house near Modbury, England. He is famous for his invention of the first used steam powered engine. He was a military engineer that became captain in 1702.
Richard Trevithick:
Richard Trevithick (1771-1833) the first steam engine locomotive. On February 22, 1804, the locomotive hauled a load of 10 tons of iron, 70 men and five extra wagons the 9 miles between the ironworks at Pen-y-Darron in the town of Merthyr Tydfil, Wales to the bottom of the valley called Abercynnon. It took about two hours.
the first bullet train was invented in 1964 by Hideo shima from Tokyo Japan. It was launched on October and coincided with the Tokyo Olympics.
Hedeo Shima innovated the steam train.
