  • Residents in the countryside had a fire
  • The fire was caused by a shale power drill, drilling for more shale
  • Residents had to leave quickly

WHAT'S SHALE GAS?

  • Shale gas is a natural gas found in shale
  • In 2010 it was 20% of the US's natural gas
  • China produces the most in the entire world
  • It is used to heat houses, heat water, dry clothes, and cook food

  • This could endanger other residents
  • Increases their natural gas
  • Helps their economy
  • Increase trade (for othet resources)
  • Bad for the environment

  • Gives us more resources

  • South Sudan needs $230 million dollars in the next 60 days
  • They are facing the worst starvation since 1980s
  • About 3.7 million people already face severe starvation (there)
  • Really bad for economy

  • They have to walk at night, risking raiders
  • Refugees have had houses burnt down, and family killed by soldiers

  • Sudan is divided; and failing
  • This could add on to the poverty, and probably did
  • This could make the economy worse
