A little bit about me

• I am a product of French Immersion programs and wholeheartedly believe that learning a second language enriches life experiences and opens doors that students don't yet realize exist

• Learning French has taken me to the backwoods of Tennessee, Chicoutimi QC on a tuition-paid summer study program, a rural village in France (where there were more goats than people), and is the true reason I chose a career in education
• I invest a significant amount of my heart in what I do at work

For fun...

• I climb mountains at 4am so I can catch the sunrise
• I run half marathons
• I blog - running, photography, poetry/short stories

This course:

• Oral proficiency: how well can the students express themselves?
• Oral comprehension: how well can the students intake information or follow instructions?
• Written communication: how well can the students output information using a variety of styles of written language?

In order to be successful:

• PARTICIPATE
• Attend - physically and mentally
• Make mistakes
• See Mme Fournier for guidance
• Think outside the box
• Check your comfort zone at the door

Class expectations

• French is the sole language of communication
• Technology is to be used for good and not for evil
• Respect is what we expect
