• Sound waves travel through the air
• For example, when you throw a stone into a pond and the stone causes ripples

THERMAL ENERGY/ HEAT

• This energy is produced from the other forms of energy
• Heat is produced when particles collide

CHEMICAL ENERGY

• This energy is produced by a chemical reaction
• A chemical reaction changes matter into something else which can not change back
• Heat can cause things to move

NUCLEAR ENERGY/ ATOMIC ENERGY

• This energy is given off by the splitting of the nucleus in an atom
• Atoms are tiny particles that make up all matter. When an atom is split, energy is released
