Meet The Team

Kenneth Johansson

I began at Lund University as a student, studying history and writing on a PhD thesis, but ended up supporting my colleagues computers and all kinds of technology at the Department of History and the Faculty of Humanities and Theology. I have worked with Learning Managements Systems like LUVIT since the end of the 20th century, the last years as administrator for the Faculty of Humanities and Theology and now as a kind of “SuperAdmin” for Lund University. I work part-time at the Division for Higher Education Development (AHU) at Lund University and part-time at the Department of History as a teacher.

On my spare time I have my family, but also my goats and various constellations of jazz groups where I play the guitar.

Catia

My name is Catia and I am a tenured lecturer in Politics and Development at Lund University. I have been teaching in higher education for over ten years. Much of my research and teaching is situated in the field of critical international political economy and my long-standing interest in critical theory has progressively led me to engage with critical pedagogy. Since I can’t seem to get enough of it, I thought that ONL could help me understand how the critical and the digital can come together.

Gunilla Larsen Borg

I am Head of Human Resource Management program at School of economics, Linnaeus University. My main interest is in health and society, ie workplace health.

My career started in IT in the eighties, then I went to the university to study, behavioural science, and on it went and now I have an unfinished phd, I came to love teaching, meeting the students, and planning new courses.

I love country life I have three horses, horseback riding, living on a small farm. Having dog , cats and a turtle. I took a photo from this summer after I had having a YOGA class, Im happy in the summer , soon to come.

Osman Ahmed

I am PhD student in the division of clinical chemistry at Karolinska institutet. My background is medical doctor and I am university lecturer of medical biochemistry . I had been teaching medical students for five years at faculty of medicine- khartoum university-Sudan between 2007-2012.

I spend my free times with my family , going to gym and also watching football matches

Ania Wach-Kąkolewicz

I am an university teacher and educational developer.
I work at the Poznan University of Economics
and Business, Poland.
My background is in pedagogy and my research
concerns academics development and teaching
and learning in higher education.
This is my third time in ONL and I am again here as I find it challenging!

I am a mom of two wonderful kids: Maria almost 14 and Antoni 4,5.

Maddy Tucker Smith

I am Londoner that has been living here in Sweden for 22 years now. I used to work at Karolinska Institutet ( back in 2000) with teachers working with micro biology and viruses, helping them to teach online to our future doctors. After that I worked in the private sector for 10 yrs with IT education, teaching and even trying my hand at entrepreneurship. I now work at The Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) as a Learning technologist/Business solutions manager trying to find the best online pedagogical solutions for our future teachers.


My free time is spent at the country house growing my own organic fruit and veg.

Ulla Thörnblom

I´m a lecturer at The Red Cross University College and there I teach nurses about Primary Health Care and Health promotion. In part time I´m a educational developer for Centre for Clinical Education (CKU) at Karolinska Institute (CLINTEC). There I´m also is involved i Higher Education Courses this spring semester. In my background I have been a Midwife at Karolinska Hospital and headnurse for some years so my main area in working interests is clinical education and interprofessional collaboration.


On my sparetime I have my family with grand children and a Rhodesian Ridgeback. Sometimes later after this ONL I have more time for my paintings...

Anna Bzymek

I am an assistant professor at Institute of Fundamentals of Machinery Design (Division of Diagnostics and Exploitation) at Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Silesian University of technology, Gliwice, Poland. Main area of my professional interest and research are: application of vision systems in technical diagnostics, machine vision and machine learning, image processing, analysis and recognition, signal processing and analysis. I work also on methods of novelty/anomaly detection in signals and images. I have received Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2011 that was realized in the framework of the project connected with surface defect detection and localization.
My free time I spend with my family and friends, I learn languages ​​( English , French) , I go to the swimming pool, summer holidays I spend usually sailing. I like to play board games and I have a black cat named Marcel :)
