PRESENTATION OUTLINE
The Colony was called Providence, and at the time was in Roodt Eylandt. Providence attracted many separatist, one being Anne Hutchingson. She helped form another colony called Portsmouth.

Rhode Island was first home to Narragansett Indians. Portsmouth and Providence both had a similar government system, coddington was the governor of Portsmouth. Roger Williams served in the government from 1654-1657.

Over time Portsmouth and providence grew and two other settlements arose. Roger Williams got permission for from England to form Providence Plantations. Which is made up of Providence, Portsmouth, and Newport.
