Anecdotes engage, involve and interest your reader. They add a human and personal dimension.

LISTEN TO JK ROWLING AND NOTE HER USE OF ANECDOTE

WHAT'S HER POINT AND HOW DOES THE STORY HELP MAKE IT?

Search Freshman SLC Letter in Google Docs.
Read through what you have and make sure that you have 5 paragraphs (see requirements).

Now, add an anecdote to 2 of the 5 paragraphs.
Use all 5 senses
and strong, specific verbs.

Double check that you've moved your letter into your SLC folder.
Print your letter (make sure your name is on it).
Quietly go and get it from the library.
