What is the problem?

The dramatic growth of the world's population. The world won’t have enough resources eventually to support the huge amount of people.

HOW LONG HAS THIS BEEN A PROBLEM?

Who does IT AFFECT?

Overpopulation affects the whole world.
It mainly affects 3rd world countries
In the future it will affect countries like India, China and Pakistan who have the largest populations.

Increased Farming
More Crime

Long TErm consequences

Loss of freshwater
Species extinction
Depletion of natural resources
Loss of freedom or rights
More epidemics and pandemics
Increase of global warming

A Personal story

People in Africa are being highly affected by overpopulation. Many African parents must decide on a daily basis how they will care for their child or if they even have the resources to do so. A lake in Africa called Lake Victoria is being affected by the overpopulation by waste from the African people.

Solutions

The United Nations could require governments to make their economies more efficient.
They could also enact limits on water, fossil fuels, and other products of that nature.
the united states could enact laws stating that food that is normally discarded but that is edible must be donated to some kind of organization.
