FUN FACTS

• He founded the Jesuit order
• St. Ignatius is the patron saint of Basque (a state in Spain)
• He also created the Examen
• His feast day is on July 31

St. Ignatius first started of as a soldier. Then, when he was in battle for the Spanish army he got wounded very badly by a canon.

During St. Ignatius recovery, he got influenced by Christ by reading books about him.

St. Ignatius decided to something with his life. He went to go study at the University of Paris.

Sadly, the saint who had been born on October 23, 1491 had died in Rome Italy on July 31, 1556
