THERE ARE TWO TYPES OF NUCLEAR REACTORS
Pressurized Water Reactor
Boiling Water Reactor

3.
PRESSURIZED WATER REACTOR
PWRs keep water under pressure so that it heats, and not boil. The water then goes into steam generators and is turned to steam, which then turns the turbine generators.
The steam is turned back into water and is reused

4.
BOILING WATER REACTORS
BWRs heat water by fission, which is when uranium atoms split, and is boiled and then is turned to steam and turns the turbine generator
The steam is turned back into water and is reused

5.
HOW IT IS USED
Nuclear energy can be used to make electricity, but it must first be released from the atom

CURRENT USE
3/4 total energy: France
1/3 total energy: Belgium, Czech Republic, Finland, Hungary, Slovakia, Sweden, Switerland, Slovenia, and Ukraine
30% total energy: South Korea and Bulgaria

CURRENT USE CONT.
1/5 total energy: USA, the UK, Spain, Romania, and Russia
1/4 total energy: Japan
10% total energy: Italy and Denmark

8.
EFFECTS ON ENVIRONMENT
Using more nuclear energy, gives states additional flexibility in complying with clean-air requirements
Nuclear power plants do not emit criteria pollutants or greenhouse gases
Has a vital role in providing clean energy for sustainable economic development

9.
WIDLEY SPREAD? WHY?
There are a lot of nuclear power plants around the Europe/Asia area
People are trying to get them more around the world
Why? Because it is eco friendly, sometimes

10.
WIDLEY ACDEPTED? WHY?
It is
People are either considering building a nuclear power plant or are already planning to build one

PROS & CONS
Pro: It is good for the environment
Con: Have to take away trees to build them in some places
Pro: It's better than fossil fuels
Con: It is radioactive after use
