JOSEPH

BACKGROUND

• Joseph was the grandson of Isaac.
• He had 12 brothers.
• His brothers did not like him at all.
• They sold him, and he became a slave.

EARLY LIFE

• He was his father's favorite son.
• His brothers hated him because of this.
• They sold him to some Ishmaelites.

AS POTIPHAR'S SERVANT

• Potiphar saw God's work in Joseph.
• He put Joseph in charge of everything he owned.
• Potiphar's wife tried to seduce him, and he ended up in jail.
• His Faith was strong through all of this.

IN PRISON

• The prison keeper put him in charge of all the prison.
• He interpreted dreams for the cupbearer and chief baker who were also in prison.
• The cupbearer was brought out of prison, and eventually remembered Joseph.

OVER ALL THE LAND

• Joseph was the only person able to interpret Pharaoh's dream.
• Pharaoh put him in charge over all the land.
• God was with him, and his plan was successful.

ALL IN FAITH

• He still helped his brothers and loved them just the same even though they did him wrong.
• Through all the bad and the good, he always stayed faithful to God.
• God helped him and was with him in everything he did, and he lived a very successful life.
