Shakespeare is said to be born on April 23, 1564 in Stratford-upon-Avon UK
First play he wrote was Henry VI in late 1580's

QUEEN ELIZABETH I

• Queen Elizabeth ruled for the first part of Shakespeares writing career
• Queen Elizabeth loved theatre and enjoyed watching his shows
• She was Protestant and this didn't effect the art community at all

KING JAMES I

• He ruled for the other half of shakespeares life
• Theatre was still legal in power of James
• Shakespeare wrote plays after King James

THEATRE SYLE OF SHAKESPEARE

• Shakespeare began his career writing comedy
• Then growing up he began writing historical plays
• He then later found himself enjoying writing tragedies and dark dramas
• He wrote 2 of his most famous plays Hamlet and Macbeth on topic of tragedies

SHAKESPEARE'S FAMOUS PLAYS

• 3 biggest plays about tragedy that Shakespeare wrote were
• Macbeth, Hamlet, and Romeo and Juliet
• 3 biggest comdies written by Shakespeare were
• Merchant of Venice, All's well that ends well, and Winter 's Tale

LIGHTS

• When shakespeare was around they would use candles for lights
• Now at theaters we have electricity to light up a stage
• Back then they didnt have lights to light up a stage

SOUNDS

• Sound was very little which meant the actors were not well heard
• Actors/Actresses would have to speak up to be heard
• Now we have mic's to project our voice out

SETS

• Sets weren't as advanced and well done
• They didn't have the equipment to cut the wood exact
• Now we have tools to measure the wood and cut it to perfection

COSTUMES

• Costumes were much heavier and most costumes were very similar
• Costumes have changed greatly because costume designers
• Give clothes that match the actors/actresses mood or personality in the play

OUR PRODUCT

• We are printing out the globe theatre
• The globe theatre is where shakespeares plays would go on
• This theatre is known because of him
• One of the most known theaters in the whole world
