2.
WATER POLLUTION
Wastes water needed for drinking, cooking, bathing, and aquatic life
point source means the pollution enters water at a specific place
Non-point source means that it diffuses from numerous areas
Point source is smaller and is easier to control than nonpoint source pollution
Organic waste consumes oxygen needed by wild life
3.
SOLID WASTE POLLUTION
Waste in landfills is the most common type
Incineration is a possible alternative
Incineration creates energy and reduces bulk
Mining operations gave off the most pollutants
Disposal of waste is difficult to do
4.
AIR POLLUTION
Its a concentration of harmful substances in the atmosphere
Damages property, plants, and causes health issues for people and animals
Comes from factories power plants, and vehicles
Burning coal is the primary source and cars emit toxins too.
