WHAT IS THE BOW & ARROW?

• The bow and arrow is a tool created by man with many different uses. It was created to be used for hunting and warfare but today it is also used in the sport of archery.

HOW DOES IT WORK/USED?

• The bow and arrow works by pulling back on the string along with the arrow, aiming it at your target, taking into account wind and distance and then letting go of the string. Depending on the distance from your target, you have to change the angle from which you're aiming.

HOW DOES IT HELP PEOPLE?

• The bow and arrow helps humans in hunting by allowing them an easy and accurate way to kill animals from a distance without scaring them. It has also helped humans in the past in warfare, allowing long range combat, and lastly, the bow and arrow has helped humans today to have fun and sports.

WHO CREATED IT & WHEN?

• The bow and arrow was created by early humans in Africa sometime during the Stone Age.

HOW HAS IT EVOLVED?

• The bow has evolved from just a basket bow and a string to a highly complex compound bow made with precise machines for precise shooting.
• The arrow has evolved from a stick with a rock arrowhead and feathers to a plastic, perfectly straight arrow with some metal parts.

WHY WAS IT CREATED?

• The bow and arrow was created by early people in Africa to help them hunt. It was a way more efficient way to hunt animals than spears or traps.

HOW FAST CAN IT SHOOT?

• The compound bow and arrow (today's modern bow) can shoot up to 200 mph.

WHAT WOULD LIFE BE LIKE TODAY WITHOUT IT?

• Life today without the bow and arrow would be so much different. If the bow and arrow wasn't invented how would hunting have evolved? Who knows if things like the gun would've been invented if the bow and arrow wasn't.
