The mayor’s office acts as the nucleus because it’s where everything is organized and it’s kind of the “brain” of the town.

The mayor’s notes and documents are like the DNA in a cell because it’s the laws and information the cell/state needs to work properly.

A landfill is like the lysosome because it’s where all the unneeded things are stored, or the trash.

Package delivery trucks are like the ER because it’s how all of the things people need get sent out to different parts of the state.

A water tower is like a vacuole because it’s where the water/energy/food (but not food in this case) is stored. It is where people’s (and the cell’s) water comes from.

Citizens are like ribosomes of a cell because they are constantly moving and doing new things, like buying various merchandise, doing their jobs, and running businesses. That’s what ribosomes do - creating impacts on everything they do, or proteins in this case.

Restaurants and farms are like chloroplasts because they make food so the cell/people can get energy.

Borderlines/walls are like cell walls because they provide support to the cell/state and prevent unwanted guests from entering (that’s why a border is also like a membrane).

The ground/air is like the cytoplasm because it surrounds the clear area in the cell and just pretty much makes up the whole cell.

Store buildings/places people ship things from are like the Golgi apparatus because they package out materials to send to places in the cell/town.

Power plants are like mitochondria because they provide energy for the whole town/state.

Fences are like cell membranes because often there’s a gate that lets people out and keeps animals in so they’re safe from predators, like a cell membrane.
