A party whip is a member of the Parliament House, who is selected as a parliamentary party. The whip is like a team manager, organising all of the activities of party members in the Parliament. Each party has their own whips who work in either the House of Representatives or the Senate. The Party whip are responsible for planning whatever will happen in the chamber and also responsible for who will speak on every sitting day. They are also responsible for always making sure that all of the party members attend and vote all together during division. When everyone has voted the Party Whip is responsible for counting and recording down a division vote. Also when a party member has lost they would give them advice and support for the next time they are doing an election, also ensuring that party decisions are properly carried out. The current Chief whip in the Liberal party is Nola Marino, the other whips are Ewen Jones and Brett Whiteley.
