WHAT WOULD THE OLYMPICS BE LIKE IF THERE WAS NO SUCH THING AS DOPING?
If there was no such thing as doping, then everything would go smoothly, but someone else might create a tablet or machine that would help improve results.
We think that even if there was no such thing as doping there would still be something called “ cheating”, because you could just take any tablet for strength instead of taking drugs.
WHO DISCOVERED THAT PEOPLE IN THE OLYMPICS WERE TAKING DRUGS? AND HOW?
The reason how scientist discovered how Olympians were taking drugs, was when one Olympian broke the world record. Everyone was amazed so, he had to take a test to see if he had eaten any type tablets or if they were just training hard. In the end scientist discovered that he had been taking drugs. From then on every time a Olympic game was held the athletes would have to take a test to see if anyone had taken drugs.
Scientists can tell if they are taking drugs because they take certain tests. For eg: The scientist will take a sample of their pee. When they receive it they will take a variety tests to make sure they don't use the drugs. Sometimes the athletes may even trick the scientist by cheating the tests.
HOW MANY ATHLETES USE DRUGS TO ENHANCE THEIR ABILITIES?
During the year of 2009 there were 35 different laboratories, conducting tests to see if the athletes were taking drugs. A total of 5,610 samples produced either “adverse” or “atypical” findings.(Types of drugs)
