This political cartoon shows all the limitations and set backs women have faced. The perspective this cartoon shows is the perspective of a typical American before the 1920s. Times have changed past this cartoon by women gaining more control financially and culture has changed their views of women. Today one organziation that is working towards womens rights today is the UN. They see this as an issue that is making strides, but there is still a lot of work to be done.

She called his bluff and said,” very well, we will sit here till they come and take us to the station.” With that, the clerk rented them an unheated room. The next day, after an exhausting search, Susan found some one who would shelter the mother and her child.....the woman’s family soon figured out Susan’s role in the affair and began to badger her about revealing the hiding place.
