WHAT IS KLINEFELTER SYNDROME?

• A genetic disorder that affects males.
• There born with an extra copy of the X chromosome

SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS

• Not diagnosed until adult.
• Adversely affects testicular growth
• Lower testosterone levels
• Reduced muscle mass.
• Reduced body and facial hair
• Produce little or no sperm

CAUSES

• It's is not an inherited

HOW ITS DIAGNOSED

• 75% may not even be diagnosed
• They draw blood to check the shape and number of chromosomes.
• They also do hormone testing to check the levels.
• They can do an amniocentesis to test the amniotic fluid and genetically test the cells

CHALLENGES

• They might have to go to counsellors and help with the counsellors to help cop with the condition and help with emotional issues
