The most used method of evaluating the effectiveness of training is Kirkpatrick's Four Levels of Evaluation (Brown, A.H. and Green, T.D., 2016).

Kirkpatrick's 4 Levels of Evaluation

  • Reactions
  • Learning
  • Transfer/Behavior
  • Results (Orey, M., 2014)

Thesis Initiative

  • Teach North American Consultants to assess the need for and build automations including Query Lists, Communication Templates, Interaction Plans, and Rulesets within the Thesis proprietary software.

Thesis Initiative Reactions -
1) Did participants enjoy the training?
2) Was the training relevant to the participants?
(Brown, A.H. and Green, T.D., 2016)

Thesis Initiative Reaction (cont.) - All North American Thesis consultants reacted favorably to the training initiative and the information shared during that training.

Thesis Initiative Learning - Did the participants' skills, knowledge, or attitudes change as a result of the training? (Brown, A.H. and Green, T.D., 2016).

Thesis Initiative Learning (cont.) - Yes, pre-tests & post-tests administered to all participants before & after the training have confirmed that learning has taken place as a result of the training.

Thesis Initiative Transfer/Behavior - Have participants transferred what they learned in the training into their everyday environments? (Brown, A.H. and Green, T.D., 2016).

Thesis Initiative Transfer/Behavior (cont.) - 3 of the 5 participants have already created automations for 2 clients.

Thesis Initiative Results - What results and tangible benefits occurred as a result of participants attending the training? (Orey, M., 2014).

Thesis Initiative Results (cont.) - Since evaluation at this level must be long term in nature in order to determine trends that have taken place it is premature to gather this information now as the training just ended 2 weeks ago (Brown, A.H. and Green, T.D., 2016).
