A person trained to care for the sick or infirm, especially in a hospital.

Why I Chose This Career

  • At times there can be a lot of paperwork

Job Outlook

Between now and 2022, there is expected to be a 20% increase for job employment for nursing.

Salary

Most registered nurses in specialty areas can make $55,000 to $95,000 a year.

Education

Most nurses will need an associates degree. It is helpful to take math, science, and health classes in high school.

Nurses will work in a hospital where they care for many patients.
