Sioux chief Red Cloud started 2 year war to prevent project
War ended at fort Leranie, with treaty of 1968 under which americans abandoned trails

Happened in1890, 200+ killed
Under stress the native americas saw the rise of prophets
They were predicting prosperities were they promised a return to normal life
This would only happen if they preformed the goast dance
121 men 230 women and children surrendered and were rounded up at wounded knee

Which became known as the massacre at wounded knee
