PRESENTATION OUTLINE
R is for realize. Soda hated seeing his greaser brothers fight. When he finally told them pony and Darry were shocked. They promised not to fight again other than silly misagreements.
S is for Sandy. Sandy was dating Soda. Sandy had to move away to Florida due to the fact that she got pregnant. It wasn't good to get pregnant this young in this era.
T is for tuff. Tuff in greaser lingo means cool. When Ponyboy first got to school everyone seemed to be afraid of him. Even the teachers. He sarcastically said that he felt tuff. He felt kind of lame that no one liked him.
U is for unpopular. Ponyboy and even the rest of what's left of the greasers are unpopular. Not many people seem to be friends with them. They are distant from other groups of people because they feel like they won't fit in.
V is for vacuum. Ponyboy "lives in a vacuum". This simile means that he lives in a household full of people who want to get the best out of him. They all want him to get a good job and a good education unlike soda. They believe Ponyboy is really smart.
W is for wish. After losing Johnny and Dally he wishes that everything be back to the way it was. He misses his friends. They were family.
X is for xenophobia. Xenophobia is the fear of meeting new people or making new friends. UJohnny feels like if he meets new people they will hate him from the start.
Y is for yes sir. When dally and Johnny were being questioned the inquirer asked if dally was friends with Darry. Dally missed Darry. Dally replied with a yes sir.
Z is for zero. When the Socs came by Johnny Johnny didn't feel anything. This meaning he didn't feel happy. He didn't feel sad. He didn't feel mad. He was neutral and emotionless.
