About her life
Her full name is Rosa Louise McCauley Parks
She was born on February 4, 1913 in Tuskegee, Alabama.
She was a civil rights activist
She was named " The First Lady of Civil Rights ", and " The Mother of Freedom Movement" by the U.S Congress
She died on October 24, 2005 in Detroit, Michigan from natural causes

how she inspired us
Rosa refused to yield her seat to a white man
She went to jail on December 1, 1955 in Montgomery, Alabama and found guilty on December 5th.
After her arrest, a boycott started and lasted 13 months.
She quoted," People always say that I did not give up my seat because I was tired, but that is not true. They only tired I was, was giving in."

She proved that it is possibly for someone to make a stand
Rosa Parks was apart of the bus boycott to help fight for equal rights
She affected society by making our voices heard and treating each other fairly.
