The Roman Empire began to slowly decline due to a series of plague. The population decline made it harder for Roman Emperors to control their armies and raise taxes.

2) OVEREXPANSION

  • Rome grew way too large
  • They had a hard time controlling military and their people
  • Very unorganized of how they spent their money
  • This is 2nd on the list because overexpansion does effect how a country runs

  • German tribes invaded the West
  • Sassanid Persians invaded the East
  • They were losing money
  • Economy issues were raising
  • This is 1st on the list because their country can be destroyed by these invasions
