Learn to tie your shoes

You're never too old to learn!
Sometimes, we treat what we know as gospel, as if our learning is the finality of the subject at hand. And it limits us. Watch.

CONTROL

attitude & effort
Charles Swindoll is quoted as saying, "Life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you respond to it." We control so very little in our lives, so it makes sense to determine what is controllable and what is not. In my experience everything you can control boils down to two things: attitude and effort. With the right attitude and your best effort, good things will significantly outweigh the negative over time. You will have tough times; it's guaranteed. But so are good times. The better your attitude and more consistent your effort, the more likely you are to experience good.

BE NICE

You might make someone's day...and your own!
Anyone ever heard of the Theory of the dipper and the bucket?

It says we cannot fill our own bucket; we can only use our dipper to fill someone else's bucket. In turn, others will reciprocate and fill our bucket.

In other words, you can't horde nice. When I say "shelf life" do you know what I mean? Nice has a short shelf life. You must get rid of it quickly. The cool part is that it will come back to you as others give it away. Don't let nice spoil. Or, "Dude, be nice."
