SATURN

FACTS
Saturn is the sixth planet from the sun. It is one of the outer planets because it is located outside the asteroid belt. It is the second largest planet in out solar system. It takes Saturn 29.4 earth years to orbit the sun. Saturn has a stronger gravity than earth. And my planet is known for Its famous rings.

HOW WAS SATURN NAMED?
Like all planets it was named after a character in Roman mythology. Saturn is named after the god sauternes the god of agriculture and harvest.

TEMPERATURE AND MOONS FOR SATURN.
The average temperature for Saturn is 288 degrees Fahrenheit. Saturn has 62 moons orbiting that is the most moons orbiting in the solar system. Some of the biggest moons orbiting Saturn are Titan,Mimas,Tethys,Rhea,Phebe, Dione,Enceladus,and Iapetus and 45 smaller ones.

In 1979 pioneer 11 past by Saturn. in 1980 voyager 1past by and took a picture. In 1981 voyager 2 flew by. Finally in 2004 Cassini landed on Saturn.
