-They mostly live in Melanesia, Micronesia and Polynesia
-They also spend time in deep water but come to shallow water for food
-Tiger Shark liver has a lot of vitamin A meaning they might be endangered soon

Why did the author chose to include a Tiger Shark in The Raft?
Because the Tiger Shark or monster is in The Raft to scare Robie and stop her from getting the suit. Luckily Robie survives and but the Tiger Shark eats the suit that could rescue her. In conclusion, the Tiger Shark causes external conflict for Robie.
