AFFIXES

What are affixes?

• a part that is added to words, either at beginning or end of word
• changes the meaning of the word

Types of Affixes:

• prefix= added to the beginning of word
• ex: im + possible = not possible because the prefix 'im' means 'not'

Types of Affixes

• suffix = added to the ending of a wod
• ex: psych + ology = study of the mind or psyche because 'ology' means study of

Home Groups: verbally share the information you discovered in your expert group with your home group
