In the 16th century, the Spanish claimed Bolivia.

This new land was called Bolivia because of its founder of independence,
Simon Boliviar!

August 6, 1825.

Bolivia has many landmarks and my favorite is the
Andeas Mountains!

The Andeas Mountains are permanently covered in snow

and are over 21,000 feet tall!

An important river i Bolivia is The Mamore River.

It runs 1,181 miles long and is located in the northern part of Bolivia.

The most important lake in Bolivia is shared with Peru and is called Lake Titicaca.

Lake Titicaca is the highest navigable lake in the world!

During the winter, it gets very cold but barley any snow falles.

The temperature during the summer is very nice but can come over 110°F commonly.

The money used in this country is called Bolivian Boliviar.

The population is about 10.7 million people.

The current president is Evo Morales.

The capital of Bolivia is La Paz.

La Paz has a population of 900,000.

Some popular food in Bolivia are the banana, saltenas, and chunos tuntas.

A chunos tuntas is a freeze dried potato that can be eaten after thawed.

Lastly, Bolivias national bird is the Andean Condor!
