What climate problems did the ancient Sumerians face?

- Blazing/scorching sun
- Blowing ho and dusty winds

- Hot sun, little rain unpredictable
WHAT WAS THERE SOLUTION TO THESE PROBLEMS
- Canals were a part of irrigation systems with dams and gates.
- They spread rich soil
- Made artificial (man made) to give water lakes or ponds to hold excess water
How did the solution affect the development of Sumerian Civilization in the following categories?
Having irrigation systems -> gave surplus to farmers-> allowed to less people to work at farming->freed up people time to live in cities.

- The Bulla was made out of clay
- Couldn’t remember what was in the Bulla so they made tally marks on the side which made the writing begin.
