PRESENTATION OUTLINE

Developing a Thesis

By Justin Fang

Example 1

  • In the modern society, friends and strangers tend to believe you when you alert them by telling them something is affecting their physical appearance, so this paranoid “prank” tested the reliability of us and our peers.

Explanation

  • A thesis is written in order to address the main topic of the passage or article. In my first example the thesis statement answers how people react in our conformity experiment.

Example 2

  • It is important that we take preventative measures to stop cheating due to conformity and academic overload so everyone has equal opportunity and can be trusted at Coppell High School.

Explanation 2

  • In this thesis statement we started off with an answer and a reason why we should do it to address our topic of the essay.
