Proclamation of 1763

  • COLONISTS DISOBEYED.
  • ...little rebels.
The proclamation (of 1763) declared that colonists could not go past the 13 Colonies. Why not? That was Indian territory, and well. . .

The Stamp act (1765)

  • You must pay taxes for almost every common everyday item.
  • Paper, glass, any typical goods.

The quartering Act (1765)

  • British troops allowed to enter colonial homes.
  • Colonists HAD to care for the troops. 
  • It was a sneaky way of taxing the colonists.

The Townshend Acts (1767)

  • Taxes on...
  • Paper
  • Lead
  • Oil 
  • Tea...

Boston Massacre (1770)

  • Colonists threw "snowballs" with rocks at British troops.
  • British troops happened to have firearms.
  • 5 colonists ended up dead.
  • British troops were heavily critized by the colonies.

The Tea Act (1773)

  • TEA WAS TAXED!
  • What Brit couldn't live without tea?!
  • And a any colonist wants to be just like A British citizen. 
  • Therefore colonists couldn't live without tea!
  • AND THE TEA WAS TAXED!
