HOW SHE BACAME AN ABOLITIONIST
- In 1850 when congress passed thee Fugitive Slave Law she decided to express her feelings through a literary representation slavery
HOW SHE HELPED
- In 1851 the first installment of Stowe's novel "Uncle Toms Cabin was published as a book and appeared in the national era
- In the following the book became a best seller. It also contributed a lot to popular feelings to slavery that is sided among the cause of the Civil war.

- She is also known as Harriet Elizabeth Beacher
- When she traveled to Washington D.C and met with Abraham Lincoln he greeted her with "You are the little women who wrote the book that started this Great War.
