About ME:

• Achieved the only Distinction awarded to any student on my FdSc course
• Undertook a three month internship, which continued for a further seven months. Alongside my younger fellow student was awarded an honorariam at a public ceremony.

About Me:

• By pursuing self-guided Cisco CCNA study, was allowed to join final year of Computer Systems and Networking honours degree.
• Following graduation, took year out to assist elderly parents in their transition to retirement.

About me:

• Studied for MSc in Advanced Network Systems Engineering.
• Was offered placement at South Hams District Council as IT Infrastructure Officer.
• Applied for internal position as Network and Telecoms specialist, capitalising on my previous study and experience gained in managing legacy PBX systems.

Most Recent Experience

• Two years of leading the project to migrate from Alcatel and Nortel switches to an agile UC environment
• Demonstrable experience in working with staff at every level, senior and junior technical colleagues, vendors and external consultants to complete a major transition with organisation-wide impact

Suitability for Role

• Practical experience in deployment and management of most of the core technologies in the Land Registry estate: Cisco, HP and Juniper switches, Fortigate firewalls and a wide variety of proprietary telecoms platforms.
• Solid experience of working within a tightly-knit infrastructure team to diagnose and rapidly resolve major outages in critical systems.

Team-working

• I have mentored and encouraged the development of junior colleagues: several have achieved significant qualifications and career progress.
• I have always tried to support my senior colleagues, taking on part of their workload and "stepping up" in crisis situations.
