What is a Habitat?
- A habitat is a place where animal species get their food, water, shelter, and a place to raise their young

WHAT IS A HABITAT?

• An animal/plants's home
• All the places people go to get things they need to survive are considered their habitat
• Different species have different habitats
• Different animals need different amounts of space for their habitat
• If the animal(s) need more space they or it will move to a different habitat
• Many animals and plants share the same habitat
• When an animal/plant is endangered it is important to protect their habitat

What is an ecosystem?
-An ecosystem is a group of animals, plants, or any living thing that live in the same surrounding

WHAT IS A ECOSYSTEM?

• An ecosystem very in size
• Includes all living things in a given area
• Ecosystems can be destroyed in fires, floods, storms, and volcanic eruptions
• All things work together in harmony
• No particular size
• If one thing is not available everything will have no harmony
• Living and non-living things that interact
• Plants and animals have to adjust to their ecosystem

What would you find in a healthy ecosystem?
