Cotton

Cotton made a big change in the Texas economy. It gave us more money, more money makes it easier and faster to move the cotton and cattle. Also lots of young children were working hard and they didn't have enough time for education.

Livestock Sales Post Civil War & Ranching

When the ranchers were moving the cattle, it was tiring and hard for them. Also when they were moving the cattle the ranchers were not paying attention to their personal life because they cared more about their cattle and wanted them to go to the market very safely.

Railroads
Railroads made the farmers and ranchers products easier to move. As ranchers found out railroads were faster, they made more money because they were able to sell more cattle.
